About Next Door Psychology

About us

Next Door Psychology welcome a range of referrals for counselling and assessment. We provide counselling and psychological treatments for people who present with many psychological disorders, including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, schizophrenia, personality disorders, substance abuse issues and a range of other psychological problems. We also can see children who present with behavioural issues, anxiety, and mood disorders.

Referral Pathways

Many people who come to see a psychologist at Next Door Psychology are referred through their GP under a Mental Health Care Plan. Other referrals can be made through NDIS, Workcover, TAC, Victims of Crime and lawyers. In addition, other agencies in the community may refer a person for other assessment or treatment, including cognitive or educational assessments or forensic assessments.

Refugee Clients

We can see refugees from a range of culturally diverse backgrounds, and we regularly utilise interpreters in our counseling sessions.  Referrals can be made by GPs through the North West Melbourne Primary Care Network Care in Mind program.

Next Door Psychology is now registered as an NDIS provider!

This means the services provided by Next Door Psychology have been assessed by the NDIS commission and approved that our service standards are of a high quality and can be accessed by all NDIS clients who require counselling or psychological interventions. Anyone who is NDIA or plan managed through NDIS can access our services. Pricing is capped at the prices set by the NDIA. Next Door Psychology can provide psychological services, counselling services, support for community participation and other services.
